2025 Annual Appeal
As the first snowflakes begin to fall and the days grow shorter, there’s a special kind of stillness in the air — a quiet invitation to pause, reflect, and reconnect. At the Darien Nature Center, this season reminds us just how powerful and healing nature can be, and how deeply grateful we are for your support.
Thanks to you, thousands of children, families, and adults stepped outside and into discovery this year. Together, we:
- Introduced learners of all ages to 22 incredible animals who call our center home, from turtles to owls to tree frogs
- Led hands-on, minds-on nature programs which encourage curiosity, empathy, and stewardship for children and adults of all ages
- Taught students not just about nature, but how to care for it — planting the seeds of environmental responsibility.
In a world of screens and schedules, you have helped us create a space where people can breathe deeply, explore freely, and remember that we are all part of something bigger than ourselves.
