 The
Darien Nature Center hosts birthday parties for
children 3 years and older.
We provide a “party hostess” to work with you to
create the party best suited to your child’s age
and interests. The hostess will do a 45-minute
program that may include live animals, nature
walk, craft, scavenger hunt or a combination of
any two.

We offer “night
hike” parties, for children ages 7 and up, consisting of a
hike and nocturnal animal presentation. A movie can be shown
upon request, or a game and craft can be added.
One-hour home birthday parties, featuring live animals, are
available upon request.
Times
Birthday parties may be booked for Saturday or Sunday
morning and afternoons; weekday afternoons are also
available providing a party hostess can be secured.
Birthday parties last for a maximum of two hours. We
recommend you set aside 15 minutes for set-up and 15 minutes
for clean-up, allowing 1 1/2 hours for your child’s party.
Fees*
All
parties require a $50.00 non-refundable deposit before a
date and hostess can be reserved. Once your date and time
are confirmed, a hostess will call to discuss the program of
your choice. Your hostess will be on site for the two-hour
duration of the party and will assist you with clean-up.

Rules
While
visiting our facility for a birthday party, the following
rules must be observed:

Children must always use inside voices,
especially when visiting with the animals.

Children must be supervised at all times.

No alcohol may be served.
